Industrial steel fabrication encounters numerous difficulties in having efficient production. These are usually caused by the presence of bottlenecks that not easily identified using traditional methods. Value Stream Map (VSM) is a lean tool can be used to identify process inefficiencies and plan minimize non-value-added activities. However, VSM designed applied non-repetitive work environment especially when workers highly involved such as manual processes. Therefore, typical requires modification achieve desired outcomes. Hence, goal current study produce state integrate it with simulation model for an optimized future state. The scope this limited fitting welding workstations since they represent processes industry. outcomes will provide ability waste improvement opportunities. Also, allow precise quantification gain time savings. Decision-makers industry have accurate information about plants. able make evidence-based decisions ensure reduced cost operations.
